Possible Quarry E of Highdown Farm
Description of this historic site
A possible quarry of unknown date was found 600m south east of Highdown Hill Plantation. Sherds of Roman and Post-Medieval pottery were also found in this location as were fragments of worked flint.

1 Seven Roman sherds. Post-medieval pottery more prevalent than modern, no Medieval sherds. 8 possible worked flints. A small quarry or marl pit existed to the N of the field barn in this field.
