Notes about this historic site
1 Mesolithic flint scatter located. Finds include 294 scrapers, 285 microliths, 26 microburins, 58 burins, numerous flakes, pot boilers, cores etc.
2 Assemblage is typically late mesolithic (7th millennium B.C.), with some evidence of old stone tool re-use during the mesolithic, implying long-term activity on the site.
3 Possible Mesolithic assemblage listed centred on SP251909.
