Historic inn recorded on FWhite&Co.’s and Victuallers’ databases. The latter shows it in existence in 1806.
Situated on the east side of the main route through Brailes from Shipston and Banbury, close to the site of Brailes brewery, in the medieval part of the town.
Listed building record (DWA4411) records a date for the building of C17/earlyC18.
