Notes about this historic site
1 Roman site found 630m S of Venonae in ploughed land by D Wassell in 1976-8. A scatter of sherds (including Samian, black, grey, Castor, rusticated, colour-coated, buff coarse, white mortaria), bone splinters, tile, slate, charcoal and amphorae sherds.
