Notes about this historic site
1 A fieldwalking survey in advance of opencast coal mining recovered 4 flint objects, 3 of which were scrapers. The fourth was an indeterminate cobble which may be unutilised natural. The three tools are dated to the late Neolithic/ Bronze Age. One of the flint objects was picked up at SP2599 and not in this field.
