Lovie did not visit and described the gardens as villa-type pleasure grounds.
He also noted that the house was demolished and the site redeveloped as a school.
On the old maps, the site of Exhall Grange Science College is named ‘Blackberry Hall’ although the building seems to be on the opposite side of the road. The house called Exhall Grange is to the North East of the college.
