My grandparents Mr and Mrs Edward Davies were the landlords of the Cottage Tavern before and up to 1933 when my Grandfather died while the landlord.
My G G grandfather Thomas Dodd was the landlord at the Cottage Tavern 1911 to 1931 born 1867 died 1943 I think is the gent with the cricket bat as he was a great cricket fan and umpire for Ashorne cc
Well there must be some sort of connection there because my G G grandfather was the landlord of the same pub. Interesting stuff.
