I went to Bubbenhall school in 1952/53 while my father worked at the Police College at Ryton on Dunsmore. I was looking for a photo of the school. I remember there were two teachers and the head lived in an extension of the school. Robert Gomme comes to mind. I plan to go and look for the school in the New Year.
Hi Hilary, just to let you know, it appears there’s a picture of the school (albeit from 1914!) in the Leamington Courier of 31st March 1990. It’s called ‘BYGONE WARWICKSHIRE: A PHOTO HISTORY OF OUR COUNTY’. the catalogue record says ‘Photograph of Bubbenhall school (children and teachers)’ so I couldn’t tell you how much of the building it shows.
Warwickshire County Record Office holds a copy of this supplement under the catalogue number PH557. If you’d like to see it, details about visiting them can be found here.
