Brother and sister Arthur and Doris Berry ran the post office and bakery. Doris ran the post office and Arthur ran the bakery, and made his own bread in the other half.  Doris never married and remained Miss Berry.

Eva Bloxham went on to work in the post office with Doris, and carried on working once the post office moved up to the other end of the village by the shops.

The Old Post Office is near the memorial in Wolston (and is still called the Old Post Office).
