I have been digging into my family history and it turns out my grandfather’s mother’s sisters, Jane and Annie Buckley owned this hotel back in the early 1900s. Is there anyway of verifying this information?
Hi Deborah,
The first thing I’d do is check the census, and see. This can be accessed on ancestry or findmypast, and check your library or county record office to see if they have free access if you don’t want to buy a subscription.
I’d also contact the Warwickshire County Record Office and see if they have any documents. They can be contacted at recordoffice@warwickshire.gov.uk, and their website has some details about researching your family.
This also comes up in my family history where previous generation used to manage/ run it.
