East & West Junction Railway (E&WJR) 2-4-0T No 5 pauses with a eight-coach special train at the east end of the up platform at Stratford Upon Avon to top up the tanks with water. E&WJR was amalgamated into the Stratford Midland Junction (SMJ) Railway in 1909 (presumably the reason for the SMJ mark on the illustration)
