I lived all of my life next door to St Johns, my sister and two brother’s were all Christened there and my dear Mum, Doris Kathleen Goodall (nee Sawrey) was caretaker for in excess of 20 yrs until sadly, the church was closed, and amalgamated with St Peters church on the corner of St Peter’s road and Clifton Rd. Cambridge Street was such a happy place to grow up. Everyone knew every else. My great,great grandparents lived there also. My brother and I left after mum died in 1995
