Joseph Foster, grocer, born in Rugby, 1845, died 1924. For many years, kept a grocer's shop at 20 Bridget Street.  Had an extensive knowledge of ailments of cats and dogs and treated animals all over the country.  One of the original members of Rugby Conservative Club, served on Committee, made a life member.  Also worker for Conservative party and staunch church attendee. Member of Rugby Board of Guardians 1910-1914.
