Bentfield Charles HUCKS b.25.10.1884 d. 7.11.18 is a well documented aviation innovator of the early 20th Century. His claim to fame was that he was the first Briton to do the loop in an aeroplane.
Perhaps BC Hucks greater claim to fame was the invention of the Hucks starter, used almost universally with higher power aero-engines from just after WWI until the1940s. Japan and the Soviet Union were notable late users of the Hucks system.
