During the 1960s I spent many hours at Manor House, but it was run as a farm by this time and my mother was employed as housekeeper by the family. Even as a child I was very much involved with haymaking and potato picking, and could even be trusted to bring the cows in from the field and guide them to the sheds for milking. Wonderful childhood memories.
