Comments
The aproned gentleman is my great grandfather Charles (Butler) Cox (1864-1949). Sisters Ellen and Fanny Gupwell were running the Post Office/Telephone exchange/ haberdashers/drapers from 9 Rugby Road. Charles married Fanny in 1887 and ran his clock cleaning and watchmaking business from the back of the premises from 1887 right up until his death in 1949
