Anti-National Front March, seen here in Edward Street. It started in the Pingles and 400 people took part, escorted by about 100 police officers, with a further 50 along the route, on the 28th September 1980.

The big van following the marchers is Warwickshire Constabulary’s old mobile police station which used to have the registration number 999FWD. This vehicle is currently in the care of the Coventry Transport Museum.
