The picture is taken from alongsisde the Conservative Club, looking towards Bond Gate.
The offices of the Nuneaton Observer newspaper can be seen opposite.
The Hollybush Pub stands at the foot of the hill leading towards Leicester Road bridge.
I remember the Sam Robbins garage displaying a new E Type Jaguar on sale in 1962, at a price of £2,192. 00.
