The photo is of cottages on Hillside, Napton
The end cottage on the right with the sign hanging above the door is where my great uncle Harold Walter Duckett ran his boot and shoe making business. Harold the son of Walter Duckett and Lizzie Townsend and was born in Napton in 1893. He had one leg slightly shorter than the other and a club foot. Not finding boots to fit he decided to make them himself and thus began his business. Harold made both new boots and cobbled boots and shoes and today the cottage has been named The Cobblers.
