On the left hand side of the street, protected by the tarpaulin shade, was a haberdashers. Materials and knitting wool could be bought in this shop as well as sewing accessories. On the opposite side of the road was Kineton Magistrates’ Court. There was a sitting at least once a week in the early 1960s. The presiding Magistrate went for lunch to the Swan Hotel.
