I vaguely remember going past this lodge to go to Rouncil towers in the early 1950?
My father I believe carried out work at the towers and I’m sure a circus owner owned it. We went to see the monkies that were kept their. The owners son had a very large toy car he could ride in run from a battery.
I lived in this lodge with my parents for 18 months while we had a house built in Coventry. We moved from Oxford in 1952 and there was no accommodation to be had. The rent covered electric,gas, maid service and laundry and I could watch Andy Pandy up at the Motel!!
