This is in fact, Pool Farm. The farm yard was accessed through the double gates and the cow sheds etc were to the left and the farmhouse to the right. The farm was run by the Hitchman family in the 1950s and into the 60s.
Yes that is Pool Farm where I was born in 1947 and lived there until the early 60s. Not sure of the date of this as there is no cow weather vane over the arch and it looks like the wall to the old New Inn car park has been lowered – that wall was higher as it was a garden in the early days. My bedroom was the one top left, so I overlooked that for many years. I understand this was the longest thatch in Warwickshire and the third longest in England, but I may be wrong.
