Like the Bilton images img5965 and img5966 this photograph was taken at the temporary airship base at Bilton Grange during the 1913 Army Manoeuvres, most likely on Sunday 21st September which was also an Open Day at the Hillmorton (Dunsmore) aeroplane base. The actual Manoeuvres lasted from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th September when King George V visited both Hillmorton (Dunsmore), accompanied by Queen Mary, and Dunchurch with thr Rt.Hon.J.E.B.Seely – Minister for War.
