Notes about this historic site
1 During an evaluation two pits were uncovered which contained pottery (probably 2nd century AD). The pits were located in the northernmost trench suggesting that Romano British activity did not extend over the whole evaluation area. Three potsherds were found in one of the pits, a fragment of tile in the 2nd, and six further sherds were found in the trench in a layer of loamy sand.
