Notes about this historic site
1 A hoard of Roman coins, ‘about a bucketful’ according to one of the finders (now deceased), discovered in 1932 when Davis’s (now Pettipher’s) Garage was being constructed. Unfortunately these coins were never dated and cannot be traced.
