Notes about this historic site
1 Deserted Medieval village at SP1794. Some evidence exists for the history of the village, but there is little archaeological indication of its location.
3 No traces of desertion were noted across the level arable fields surrounding the hamlet of Wishaw. The field to the S of the church contains ridge and furrow under pasture.
4 That the field S of the church has ridge and furrow indicates that the grid reference given by 1 is approximate.
