Notes about this historic site
1 A semicircular gully was uncovered in an area of probable late Prehistoric remains, comprising two pennanular gullies (WA 9108 & 9109), a pit (WA 9111) and a ring ditch (WA 9107). No finds were recovered in the southern part of the site, dating on morphological grounds.
2 The gully was a semicricle, 5m across. It is most likely part of an Iron Age settlement, with an Iron Age enclosure found on the same site, but north of Langley Brook and therefore, north of the county boundary.
