1 Pieces of broken pots of the Roman period are stated to have been found about 25 years ago in a gravel pit near the church at Lillington.
3 The OS records this at the above grid reference and a gravel pit is marked there on the 1:10000 map. However, it is possible that these finds came from the parish church (see also PRN 1470).
