Notes about this historic site
1 Stone axe found 1934 at above grid reference. Langdale Group VI. This report from Birmingham Museum records and came via three or four hands. Finder and present location of axe could not be traced.
2 Axe.
3 It is claimed this find was made during bypass construction c1962, not as given above. Find was polished stone axe donated to Nuneaton Museum, its last known location.
