Description of this historic site
Findspot - a spur, of silvered iron, dating to the Medieval period and also an Early Medieval coin, a Medieval spout and a Post Medieval pottery sherd. The finds were made in the area 150m south of the church at Barcheston.

Notes about this historic site
1 A spur (silvered iron) was found in a ditch dug for drains close to Barcheston Manor House. It was dated by the Keeper of Archaeology to the 13th or 14th century.
2 Cnut penny, 17th century pottery sherd, Late Medieval spout, found 23/9/94 and 24/9/94.
