Notes about this historic site
1 An evaluation was carried out by the Cotswold Archaeological Trust on the allotment site at the rear of Loxley Road in May 1992. Flints of the Mesolithic (WA 6480) and Neolithic periods were recovered. A broken retouched flake is thought to be a petit-tranchet derivative of late Neolithic date, however it may be associated with Mesolithic material.
