Findspot - fragments of tile dating to the Roman period were found 300m north east of Chesterton Stud.

Notes about this historic site
1 Section cut by JCB in 1977 revealed 200 mm of topsoil with ‘very little Romano British tile fragments etc’ on undisturbed Keuper Marl. The outer bank at this point therefore appears to be natural.
