This is actually Evelyn Hester Dewar, not Ethel. She was the Headmistress of the Laurels School for Girls, Rugby. She married The Ven Claude Blagden, Rector of Rugby and Archdeacon of Warwick, in 1922 (his first wife had died in the flu epidemic of 1918). They had one child, Claudia, born at Rugby in January 1927 when Blagden had just been nominated Bishop of Peterborough.
