Samuel Lattimer was born in 1803. He was a servant at Rugby School during the headmasterships of Drs Arnold, Tait, Goulburn and Temple. He attended to the small school farm which stood on the site of the present gymnasium. He is mentioned in
Samuel Lattimer was born in 1803. He was a servant at Rugby School during the headmasterships of Drs Arnold, Tait, Goulburn and Temple. He attended to the small school farm which stood on the site of the present gymnasium. He is mentioned in "Tom Brown's Schooldays". Known as "Fat Sammy" he became so fat in his later years that he had to sleep downstairs. he died on August 5th 1867. 1860s
