Comments
Although this looks very like a chapel it was actually built as a Reading Room in 1860 (recorded on the plaque). It appears as a ‘Mission Room or Hall’ on maps in the late 19th and early 20th century and is now used as the Village Hall.
The chapel was also used as a Sunday school throughout the 1960s and was very well attended by the children of the village on a Sunday morning!
