What a wonderful sight. The house in the foreground with the venetian-style shutters was the home of the Churchill family in the 1950s/60s. I was at Lillington Infants’ School with Christine Churchill from 1958-60. The shutters were painted pale green then and the trees that hide the front of the house and neighbouring houses had gone. i see the shutters still exist according to google maps.
