The Stores are the buildings on the Right. The Area Central Workshops are the buildings on the Left.
I worked here between 1964-75 and completed my Electrical Apprenticeship in 1968. Worked with Gerald Redfern and Keith Morris the Electrical Inspectors.
Jim Towers was the main man at the Central stores. Worked alongside some memorable charchters…………
I also worked there between 1963 and 1968 asa mechanical apprentice and worked the last two years in the drawing office. Also played for the football team and the bowls team.
