I reckon that might be Bretford, where there is now a narrow brick bridge that goes over the canal and has traffic lights on it (so right in this picture would head to Long Lawford and the turning to Wolston, and left on this picture would go to Bretford first left (or would go to the revel if you go past the pub).
Failing that, I have no idea where this is taken.
I think it’s a footbridge which still exists across the Avon, carrying a path which runs from Newbold church, under the Trent Valley main line and then across the river to Long Lawford. I remember crossing it one day around 1960 with my father when the river was in full flood and the water was rushing across the bridge deck. Very exciting, but we got soaked.
This footbridge spans the River Avon on a footpath which leads from Newbold (behind St Boltoph’s Church), under the Trent Valley railway line and then over the river on to Lawford, coming out near Townsend Lane. As far as I can tell, the bridge still exists since it shows up clearly on Google maps’ satellite view.
