Leamington Spa Foraging Courses

at The Red Lion, Main Street, Hunningham, Leamington Spa CV33 9DY

Dryads Saddle Fungus
Dryads Saddle Fungus

These courses will be held around Hunningham, a quaint little village on the outskirts of Leamington Spa with plenty of fields, meadows, hedgerows and riverside to forage. We meet at the Red Lion, a welcoming pub alongside the River Leam. The course starts there with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the Countryside Act. Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the village, teaching you how to identify the different plants, flowers, fruits and mushrooms that we find.

We’ll stop along the way for some seasonal homemade refreshments such as our lovely hogweed and wild garlic soup, elderflower champagne or fruit leathers. Then it’s back to the pub for a tasty wild food lunch based on what we have found and some preprepared homemade treats.

After the course, we will email you a list of everything we talk about on the day to help you to remember what you have learnt. There are limited spaces available so please book your tickets online.
Extra course dates; 17th April, 13th May, 13th June, 10th July & 16th August.
