Hands on History for All Ages - Masks
18 January 11:00am - 4:00pm at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery, Riversley Park, Coton Road, Nuneaton, Warwickshire CV11 5TU
Get hands on with Museum objects every third Saturday of the month! Join one of our Museum Access Assistants as they spotlight items from the Museum’s collections.
Why do we wear masks? Is it just to conceal the face, or do specific masks possess certain powers? Get hands on with masks of all shapes, sizes, colours, and forms. Discover the materials they are made from, the individuals who would have worn them, and their significance during performance, ritual, and ceremony.
No booking is required, just drop in from 11am until 4pm. Free admission. Suitable for all ages. Donations welcome.
