Pillerton Priors lies close to the Roman Fosse Way, around a mile away from its neighbour Pillerton Heresey. It was once home to the Chapel of the Blessed Mary, but this burnt down in the 17th century, leaving only a few fragments, including the Bible and book of common prayer.
