No Man's Heath

The heath, and the village of the same name, lies at the very northern tip of Warwickshire, near the meeting of four counties. Until the 19th century it lived up to its name, being unoccupied. It was purportedly the site of much lawless activity at that time, being a convenient place through which to escape to a neighbouring county if pursued by law enforcement.
