Our Spaces
Art and culture play an increasingly key role in the vitality and vibrancy of a place, affecting how that place defines itself and is seen by others. In a radical move to reinvigorate the use of public spaces such as town centres and parks in the wake of the pandemic, Warwickshire County Council have invited specialist place curators, Creative Giants, to amplify the work of artists, through a collaborative project that sees a series of dynamic interventions installed in seven locations
A collaborative public realm project
This series of commissions has provided an opportunity for artists, designers and creatives to get invaluable experience working on a collaborative public realm project. Each commission has responded to a site-specific brief, as well as the overarching project themes of connecting green and urban space, community voice and identity.
Four of the artworks have been installed, with the other three to follow shortly.
