I will need to delve into the history of the shop on School Street. I believe this building became Wolston Newsagents, a business owned by my late Granddad in the 60-70’s. Jack/John Baker and his Canadian wife Maud Baker previously ran the Garden Cafe in Kenilworth before moving to Wolston. He loved running the newsagent and I think he wished he had gone into that line of business earlier, having previously being an aircraft engineer at Baginton.
