Showing the field before the shops were built. My mum and dad had one of the shops and moved in when they were first built.
So nostalgic, I remember that row of new shops including Mrs Fearn’s Ladies Shop, a Hairdressers, TV & radio shop, plus a Greengrocers & more. Next door to the Wesley Chapel was the little wooden cobblers workshop, so dark inside I wondered how he ever managed to see to mend our shoes!
