The gateway on the left of this photograph is the entrance to the former St Oswald’s vicarage. In about 1980, three flats were built on the site of this vicarage, and the ensuing road is known as St Oswalds Gardens.
The road on the right of the photograph by the gas lamp is named as Torrance Road, not Torrance Lane.
