There used to be a restaurant and pub called The Three Choices on the main road running through the town. I am not sure what it is now. It was owned by my friend’s family, who also ran The Builders Arms in Leamington. Every year for The Builders Christmas party staff and regulars would get a coach to The Three Choices, eat Christmas lunch, celebrate and then return to The Builders for a traditional ‘Wear as little as you dare’ disco! Memories from the mid to late ’90s. I think the Warwickshire Beer Company, (my friend’s parents), now own a pub in Southam.
Southam Royal British legion was founded in 1921. The first meetings were held at the hut in Craven Lane and eventually moved to the Craven Arms. The original minute book is held by the Southam Branch, which now meets at the sports and social club..
The Bull Inn has now been converted into flats after being closed for some time.
