This was Dr V. R. O’Connor’s home and practice during the 1950s and 60s, and probably for a very long time before that. I can remember going to see Dr O’Connor, Dr Hart, Dr Radvani, and later Dr Simpson at this surgery.
I lived with my parents and sister at 8 Leam Terrace from 1960 until 1963. We rented the upstairs and had to pass through an entrance hall from the front door between the waiting rooms and the doctors surgery to a large staircase at the end of the hallway. My Father was an officer at RAF Gaydon. Doctor O’Connor and his sister were very nice. House had a beautiful garden that exited into the street at the back. My mother worked as a secretary in a Scrap Metal yard called Symes. I went to St Bedes college. Leamington is a beautiful town.
