Leamington Spa. Hillman Imp Special Owned by The Steering Wheel, High Street

I have a rather unique old vehicle that was once owned by the title of this post. I assume The Steering Wheel was a car accessory shop and is long-gone. The logbook shows they had my car in 1974. Anyway I only have one picture of the car in the old days. I have been told the photographer saw it driving in the lanes around Warwickshire and stopped the driver so he could get a picture, the driver doesn’t look too pleased but it was/is the only genuine Hillman Imp pick-up in the world so the guy was determined to capture it.

Does anyone remember the car, or the shop or even recognise the driver?
