Grimes’ was a delightful shop filled to the gunnels with anything you needed to do work in the home.
Next door was Mr Brown the newsagent. As well as papers, which were delivered to our homes every day, and cards, it was a sweet shop which attracted many children.
Remember passing Browns on the school bus on the way to the high school (70s). Pretty sure the white house in the back ground was owned by the music teacher the appropriarely named Mr Bell
